BHX CAD privacy policy

BHX CAD works entirely in your browser. Your designs and the files you open stay on your computer. Nothing is sent to Bastion Helix. There is no account, no analytics and no cookies.

Your files

  • Files you open (STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP, IGES, BREP or a saved .bhx.json) are read by your browser and processed on your computer. They are not uploaded anywhere.
  • When you save, export STL, export a CSV or record a video or GIF, the file is created in your browser and goes to your own downloads.
  • Bastion Helix never sees your designs, your files or what you do in the app.

What the app downloads

  • The app is one page, /bhx/app, with everything it needs built in. It makes no requests to Bastion Helix or anyone else while you work.
  • The one exception: the first time you open a STEP or IGES file, your browser downloads the reader file /bhx/bhx-step-reader.js from this site. Your file is not sent with that request.

What is stored

Nothing. The app doesn't use cookies, local storage or any other browser storage. When you close the tab, only the files you saved remain.

Hosting

This site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests (including your IP address) to deliver pages and protect the site. The help pages, such as this one, load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when they load. The app page itself loads nothing from other sites.

Children

BHX CAD collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date and version number.
