BHX Fab Quote privacy policy

The app works in your browser. The drawings, programs and parts you open stay on your computer, and so do your shop settings. Nothing is sent to Bastion Helix. There is no account, no analytics and no cookies.

Your files

  • DXF, G-code, STEP, IGES, STL, 3MF and OBJ files you open in the app are read and processed by your browser on your computer. They are not uploaded anywhere.
  • PDF quotes and exported settings are created in your browser and go to your own downloads.
  • Customer names and references you type into a quote are used only to make that PDF. They are not saved.

What is stored

Your shop settings (shop name and contact details, tax, margin, machine figures, material prices, extra charges and the next quote number) and your theme choice are saved in your browser's local storage on your computer, so they are there next time. They never leave your computer unless you export them. To remove them, use Reset to examples in Shop settings or clear this site's data in your browser.

What the app downloads

  • The app is one page, /fabquote/app, with everything it needs built in. It makes no requests to Bastion Helix or anyone else while you work.
  • The one exception: the first time you open a STEP or IGES file, your browser downloads the reader file /fabquote/bhx-step-reader.js from this site. Your file is not sent with that request.

The AI-agent service

The MCP server and web API at https://quote.bastionhelix.com (switched on 31 October 2026) are a separate service for AI agents and software. When an agent sends a DXF, G-code or STL to it, the file is processed in memory to answer that request and is not stored by Bastion Helix; request logging is turned off. The service has no accounts and sets no cookies. Like the website, it runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests (including the IP address) to deliver them and protect the service.

Hosting

This site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests (including your IP address) to deliver pages and protect the site. The help pages, such as this one, load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when they load. The app page itself loads nothing from other sites.

Children

BHX Fab Quote collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date and version number.

  • 1.1, 31 October 2026: the AI-agent service at quote.bastionhelix.com is switched on (it was "planned" in 1.0).
  • 1.0, 30 October 2026: first version.
